Courteney Cox has bought her pal and former ‘Friends’ co-star a $12,000 Chanel bicycle.

Cox reportedly shelled out on the expensive two-wheeler for Jennifer after she expressed an interest taking up cycling.

A source close to the star said: “Jennifer said she wanted to start bike riding because it’s such good exercise. So Courteney sent her the new, ultra-chic Chanel bicycle.”

You can buy the bicycle exclusively at Chanel boutiques for $12,000. The bike features eight speeds, weighs 36lbs and comes complete with a quilted leather seat and saddlebag emblazoned with the famous Chanel ‘CC’ logo.

Owning this bike would certainly be great motivation to workout, wouldn't you say?

Tori Spelling has a bad ass body these days. Tori didn't achieve those abs sitting on her butt. Along with following the NutriSystem diet plan, she also enjoys having high energy kickboxing sessions with husband Dean McDermott.

 What is kickboxing?

Kickboxing refers to the sport of using martial-arts-style kicks and western-boxing-style punches to defeat an opponent in a similar way to that of standard boxing. Kickboxing is often practiced for general fitness, or as a full-contact sport.

Cost: Kickboxing DVD’s range from $10-$15; classes typically range from $10-$40.
Time Commitment: Aim to start slow. Begin with 15-20 min. of a typical workout DVD or class 2-3 times a week and build up workout frequency and intensity.
Location Limitations: If doing a DVD, make sure that you’re working out on a shock-absorbent mat or surface.
Special Equipment Required: A good pair of cross-training shoes, special kickboxing gloves.
Potential Pitfalls: Avoid if you have back or joint problems.
Boredom Rating: This workout mixes boxing, martial arts and aerobics, leaving boredom potential very low.
Potential Injury Risk: It’s advised that people with back or joint problems (like arthritis) avoid this workout.
 Level of Fitness Required: N/A.
Calories Burned (based on a 150 pound woman exercising at a moderate intensity for 30 minutes): Up to 125-250 calories per hour.
Body Parts Worked: All upper and lower body parts, including the core.

You can buy Tori's pink boxing gloves HERE for $34.99

CNN reports that interactive video games could help some children lose weight. Considering the average child watches 4 hours of television each day, active video games are a good alternative to sitting on the couch. Some studies show that kids are 3 to 4 times more likely to lose weight using these video games vs. nothing. Until playing the Nintendo Wii I've never had any interest in video games. The active games are much more fun and they defiantly get your heart pumping. They're perfect for boring rainy days but I don't think they could ever build a system that would take the place of fresh air and sunshine.

A study by the British Medical Journal looked at how they interactive activities matched up to the real thing:

Interactive Boxing: 175 Calories

Real Boxing: 384 Calories

Interactive Bowling: 168

Real Bowling: 192

The results show that some interactive video games may be closer to the real thing than others. Although these video games are great additions to the world of fitness, they haven't yet replaced the real thing and I don't see them doing so any time soon.
